Interested!! betwen you and your husband My husband's finger was broken during football games. It was over 25 years ago. Same as you.. Doctor told him choice with or without to freeze injection. He choose wihtout injection. he was bragged. doctor bent .. he screamed and too late.. he is funny... he was bragged. I laughed his funny story when he was young.
Over 30 years ago.I also broken my left elbow.. Doctor had to use his leg over my left elbow pulled up. It was PAINFUL! I had to went to ER surgery in couple hours after pulled bone up. Had a surgery for three hours. Finally fixed. It was painful and connect wire or screw. Not fun the part I go through it is very HELL.
2004, I had a hammertoe surgery to connect my right toe had to donnect along with screw. Painful!

A reason why Every time I go to see doctor. They have so many different reason to not injection or with injection. Ask Doctor why it is different with toe .. Interesting!!

Oh poor thing! I think the doctor who treated your husband was afraid that if he didnt freeze the broken toe, your husband would beat the doctor? Maybe for you, female can stand pain more than male (ex: birth, gone through lots of pain and learn to deal with it)? Also, everyone have different opinions/experiences. Next time you break any bone, go to your husband's doctor, smile.

Oh, Not again I still mispelling and something that I mean dislocation( Not quiet correction of bone failed to keep hold by itself.)
Oh it means that I don't have to worry about it anymore becuase I know doctors will always take a good care of men!!! LOL

that's funny! :) perhaps your husband's toe was broken in a way that moving the bone is more difficult and painful if without freeze?
